Your basket is waiting for a little joy.
You haven’t added any treasures yet.
Explore the collectionsWhen you hear the word journalling, you might imagine keeping a diary – sitting down at the end of each day and writing about everything that has happened. And while journalling can certainly include writing about your day, it can be so much more than that.
A journal is a space that belongs entirely to you.
It can be somewhere to capture thoughts and memories, practise gratitude, make plans, explore dreams or simply empty a busy mind onto paper. But it can also be wonderfully creative. You might fill your pages with beautiful papers, photographs, tickets and keepsakes; experiment with collage, washi tape, stickers and textures; doodle, draw, add colour or create pages simply because making them brings you joy.
There are no rules and no right way to journal. You don't need to be a writer, an artist or particularly creative to begin. Your journal doesn't need to look perfect, and you certainly don't have to write in it every day. It can be whatever you need it to be.
In a world where so much of our time is spent looking at screens, rushing from one thing to another and thinking about what needs doing next, opening a journal gives us an opportunity to slow down.
Choosing a piece of paper, writing a few words, arranging a collage or simply making marks on a page encourages us to focus on what we're doing in that moment. That simple act of creating can become a gentle, mindful pause in an otherwise busy day.
Some days you might have something important to say. Other days you may simply want to play with pretty paper and make something beautiful.
Both are journalling!
Polly's Paper Garden was created to make discovering the joy of journalling easy, inspiring and a little bit special.
Our carefully curated journalling boxes bring together notebooks, beautiful stationery, papers, embellishments and thoughtful little treasures for you to discover and use in your own way. Rather than worrying about where to begin or what you need, you can simply open your box, explore what's inside and start creating.
And because inspiration sometimes needs a little helping hand, you'll also discover Leaf Notes from Polly's Paper Garden – our Blog that includes little pieces of information, ideas and inspiration designed to help you discover new techniques, explore creativity and get even more from your journalling journey.
Whether your journal eventually becomes a place for reflection, a memory book, a creative scrapbook, a gratitude journal, an explosion of colour and collage – or a wonderful mixture of everything – it doesn't matter.
It's your journal. Your space. Your story.
So find a quiet corner, open your notebook and see where the first page takes you.
Plant thoughts with kindness, nurture them with reflection and watch yourself bloom.
